An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for treating patients under the guidance of a Physical Therapist, maintaining treatment areas, and assisting with patient care conferences. Description
Treat patients as directed by a Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board standards. Assist in maintaining the department and participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. Treat patients according to the physician's treatment plan. Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides. Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans. Participate in in-service training programs for staff. Record treatment changes following policies and procedures. Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge. Report any equipment problems to ensure proper maintenance. Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and effectively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.
This position is non-supervisory.
Requires standing, walking frequently; sitting occasionally; reaching, pushing, pulling often; talking, hearing, tasting, smelling frequently; exerting significant force occasionally and frequently; and occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Good vision and focus are required.
