Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Grand Blanc, MI seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in an inpatient rehab unit with cross-over opportunities to inpatient therapy. Eligible candidates with CAPTE-accredited education and Michigan licensure are encouraged to apply.

A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered to selected applicants. Responsibilities include patient assessments, developing and updating care plans, delivering PT interventions, and supervising PT aides and students.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist with a bachelor degree and 5 years of experience, or a Master’s/Doctorate in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current State of Michigan licensure or eligibility within 30 days of application.
• Certified BLS Provider in Basic Life Support from AHA or Red Cross, obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and on-going assessments of patients’ conditions.
• Establishes, revises, and evaluates a plan of care involving the patient/family.
• Performs therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques.
• Oversees activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.

Location: Henry Ford Genesys Hospital - Grand Blanc, MI In-patient Rehab Unit

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Primarily in Rehab, but some crossover to Inpatient therapy is possible.

• Establishes, revises, and evaluates a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of each patient.
• Oversees activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Physical Therapist bachelor degreewith5 years of experienceORMaster’s/Doctorate degree acquired from a Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current State of Michigan licensure.Will consider those who will be licensed within 30 days of applying.
• CertifiedBLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross. obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
