Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary:

Evaluates patients, develops care plans, uses procedures and techniques to improve conditions/functions, supervises therapeutic care, and communicates results to patients, families, and staff. Mentors staff and participates in resource management. May provide off-site services as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform evaluations and treatment interventions within legal and ethical scope.
• Assess therapeutic and functional status, contribute to care planning.
• Provide therapeutic care at patient’s home, following physician’s plan.
• Instruct patients and caregivers on therapies, exercises, and devices.
• Prioritize caseload and coordinate staffing and handoffs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy required.
• Current North Carolina Physical Therapy license required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• No prior experience required; new graduates eligible.
• Clinical affiliations in acute care, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, or wound care are helpful.
