Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to help patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence after illness, injury, or surgery. You will assess needs and build personalized therapy plans with physicians and the care team, delivering evidence-based interventions and monitoring outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS in Physical Therapy required.
• Texas state licensure required; Grace Period of 90-180 days if on Temporary License status.
• Prefer one or more years of experience in Acute Physical Therapy Setting.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering evidence-based interventions that restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
• Monitoring progress, refining therapy plans, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of outcomes.
• Educating patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence.
• Collaborating across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery.
• Leading by example—mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding values of excellence, compassion, and integrity.

Your role will include:

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors of Science, or higher degree from a university in Physical Therapy.
• Physical Therapy License issued by The Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy (ECPTOTE) Texas State Board – Grace Period of 90-180 days if on Temporary License status
• Prefer one or more years of experience in Acute Physical Therapy Setting
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
