Summary

As an Physical Therapist at 1st Americare LLC, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients through tailored therapeutic interventions. This position is essential in supporting our commitment to delivering compassionate and professional home health care.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical abilities, range of motion, strength, posture, and coordination.

Diagnose physical issues and develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient’s needs.

Design personalized exercise programs to improve movement and strength.

Recommend specific techniques or equipment to aid rehabilitation.

Set realistic goals with patients and track their progress.

Guide patients through exercises that improve mobility, balance, and strength.

Provide manual therapy, such as joint mobilization and soft tissue manipulation, to reduce pain and improve movement.

Instruct patients in posture correction and ergonomic techniques to avoid further injury.

Teach patients about their condition, treatment options, and the importance of following through with prescribed exercises.

Advise on lifestyle changes to support recovery, such as diet, posture, and activity modifications.

Qualifications

Valid PhysicalTherapist license in the applicable state(s).

Experience in a skilled nursing facility or home health care setting preferred.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and case management practices.

Ability to develop effective treatment plans based on client assessments.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Understanding of physiology and its application in occupational therapy interventions.

Experience with early intervention strategies is a plus.

Flexibility to adapt to various client needs and environments.
