Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in physical therapy and 1-2 years of PT experience required.
  • Active MA PT license is mandatory.

Job description

This 20-hour Physical Therapist will be responsible for:

  • Completing comprehensive physical therapy assessment in alignment with department standards and guidelines for pediatric patients.
  • Reviewing patient medical history/record and selects, administers, and interprets standardized and non-standardized tests and measurements to assess patients’ functional status related to cardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, and sensorimotor function.
  • Integrating knowledge into clinical decisions and recommendations.
  • Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment programs.
  • Establishing treatment goals and administers appropriate physical therapy procedures and modalities.
  • Creating discharge plans and home treatment programs, and providing education to patients and families.
  • Recommending orthotics, adaptive/assistive equipment, and technology for patients with complex, rare, or multiple dysfunctions.
  • Liaison with equipment designers and vendors regarding equipment specifications and patient needs.
  • Training patients, families, and caretakers in the use/operation of prescribed orthotics/equipment, monitoring and evaluating effectiveness, and initiating modifications as needed.
  • Recording assessments, diagnoses, and treatment in patient medical records according to established documentation standards.
  • Preparing reports, correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools, providers, payers, and others as needed.
  • Assigning standardized billing codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
  • Minimum one to two years of previous PT experience, hospital based preferred.
  • Active state of MA PT license.

This position is eligible for part-time benefits!

Schedule is weekdays, M-F.
