The Physical Therapist 2 (PT 2) reports to the Director of Therapy for the JV Rehabilitation Hospital Physical Therapy team. The PT 2 serves UC Davis Health as a journey-level therapist, with two or more years of experience as a licensed physical therapist and experience working in various clinical settings.

Minimum Qualifications

• California Licensed Physical Therapist (PHYSTHER)
• Minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy
• Several years of clinical experience in Physical Therapy
• Knowledge and skill in patient care practices, principles, and techniques
• Strong written and oral communication skills to clearly convey information and instructions
• Interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment and demonstrate compassion
• Ability to maintain composure and provide excellent customer service during peak times and with challenging patients

Department Description

The UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital provides intensive rehabilitation services to restore patients' functional capacity and prepare them for discharge home. This position involves providing direct patient care at the hospital.

Position Details

• Salary: $67.18/hour (shift differential may apply)
• Part-Time, 20% effort, variable hours, on-site at UCDH Rehab Hospital, Sacramento, CA
• Union: Yes - HX
• Benefits: No
• Employment type: Per Diem

Work Environment & Requirements

• Availability to work 2 weekends and 2 weekdays per month, including at least 1 major holiday and 4 UC holidays annually
• Position is critical, requiring background checks and drug screening
• Compliance with UC vaccination policies and public health directives is required
