Typical Work Duties
Within the child's natural environment, provide coaching services to the family, consultation, and monitoring of Physical intervention for infants and toddlers across domains.
Complete assessments of children to obtain current levels of functioning and implement and assist in the development of the IFSP. Assessments may include but are not limited to child development, gross motor skills, mobility, postural alignment, reflex integration, motor planning, fine motor skills, and equipment evaluation and fitting. Assessments are completed in the child's natural environment.
Performs student assessments by formal and informal methods and works with parents or guardians to gather information relevant to the IFSP.
Plans, reviews, selects, and maintains therapeutic equipment and materials for use in the coaching environment. Requests, secures, follows up on medical information relative to the discipline.
Participates as a member of the transdisciplinary team working with families and other professional staff in assessing, developing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying IFSP outcomes for children. This includes consultation with team members, as well as active participation in weekly team meetings.
Prepares and maintains written reports and reports that are required but not limited to child assessments, IFSP outcomes, PT goals, Plans of Care, and progress data.
Compensation Is Based Upon Education And Experience
Candidates with a master's degree: $30.60/hr. to $34.55/hr.
Candidates with a doctorate degree: $35.48/hr. to $40.04/hr.
