Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Flexible FTE Physical Therapist to support outpatient clinics in Brainerd and surrounding areas. The role requires a minimum 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week) with the option to flex up to 0.9 FTE based on department needs and candidate availability.

You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, educate patients and caregivers, and manage a full caseload with coordinated documentation, scheduling, and billing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the state where services are performed.
• Flexibility to work a minimum of 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week) with potential to 0.9 FTE.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, treat and implement care for patients in accordance with APTA standards and Essentia Health policies.
• Provide therapy evaluation, develop treatment plans and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.
• Complete documentation, scheduling, billing and other administrative duties; coordinate with multidisciplinary team.

Minimum commitment of 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week), with the opportunity to flex up to 0.9 FTE through outpatient or hospital coverage.Education Qualifications:Educational Requirements:Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from a physical therapy accredited programThis position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified hires.Key Responsibilities:Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.Provide all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative dutiesDemonstrates appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides, volunteers)Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal clinical and financial outcomes.Work closely with Essentia Health leadership and coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.Comply with organizational policies and procedures and the code of conductMeet professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practiceWork where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allowsMay serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would benefit patient careThis role requires a minimum of 24 scheduled hours per week (0.6 FTE), with flexibility to increase to 0.9 FTE based on department needs and candidate availability.
