Job summary

Elite Spine and Sports Physical Therapy in Wilkes-Barre is seeking an energetic Physical Therapist to join our clinic. You will assess patients, develop and initiate treatment plans, and provide hands-on care to help patients return to activities they love.

You will review referrals, document progress, supervise assistants, and collaborate with physicians and insurers. New graduates are welcome; competitive salary and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current state license as Pennsylvania Physical Therapist (PT).
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Review referrals and patient records to determine required physical therapy.
• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and guidelines.
• Document findings, progress and instructions to patients/caregivers.
• Oversee patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Develop written plans of care and goals; implement comprehensive programs.
• Implement treatment programs and provide essential PT treatments.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians and insurers.
• Ensure timely documentation including daily notes and discharge summaries.

Job Description

Elite Spine and Sports Physical Therapy has an opportunity for an energetic and customer-focused Physical Therapist for our Wilkes-Barre clinic.

What You’ll Do

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
• Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
• Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
• Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
• Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports

Qualifications
