Luke Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist for Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The ideal candidate holds a CAPTE-approved degree, is licensed, and a U.S. citizen.

You will perform a full range of PT services, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with physicians and staff while promoting prevention and wellness. Facility operates Monday–Friday with on-base privileges.

Formación

• Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates prior to Jan 1, 2002.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-approved college/university.
• 1 year of experience preferred to meet credentialing requirements.
• Current, full, active, unrestricted physical therapy license.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Physical capability to stand/sit for extended periods and perform required services.

Responsabilidades

• Provide full range of physical therapy services as per privileges granted by the medical treatment facility.
• Plan and write treatment programs based on patient evaluation.
• Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
• Instruct and assist patients in activities, including ambulation, daily living activities, and use of assistive devices.
• Administer soft tissue mobilization and traction to relieve pain.
• Record treatment, response, and progress in patient charts.
• Coordinate treatment with physicians and staff and relay patient information as needed.
• Engage in prevention and wellness activities and health education.

Physical Therapist

Site of Service: Andersen Air Force Base, Guam

Position Qualification/Requirements

• Degree : Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002.
• Education : Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Experience : As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions (preferably 1 year)
• Licensure : Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist.
• U.S. Citizenship : Shall be a U.S. citizen
• English Language Requirement : Shall be able to read, write, speak and understand English well enough to effectively communicate with all patients and other health care providers.
• Physical Capability : Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

Core Duties

• Perform a full range of physical therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the MTF.
• Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.
• Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
• Administer soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology.
• Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment.
• Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems.
• Coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's health care. Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns, as required.
• Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promote public health behaviors.
