Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a clinically oriented Physical Therapist Assistant to provide patient care, initiate and adjust treatments, and manage a patient load that meets productivity standards.

You will evaluate patients, plan and revise treatments to meet functional goals, maintain accurate records, and educate patients and families while collaborating with other healthcare professionals. This role also emphasizes ongoing professional development and participation in in-services.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical patient care by initiating and administering appropriate treatment, progressing patient treatment as appropriate, and managing a patient load that reflects productivity standards.
• Evaluate patients accurately, plan appropriate treatment, set and meet functional goals, and revise treatment programs as goals are met.
• Maintain appropriate treatment records and complete accurate daily patient charges.
• Attend and participate in continuing education activities and departmental in-services to maintain technical expertise.
• Provide instruction to patients, family members, and other healthcare providers, following care path guidelines for patient/family education and documentation of home programs.
• Follow set guidelines for daily operations and assist the in-charge therapist with daily responsibilities as appropriate.
• Schedule and prioritize daily work assignments, delegating tasks to RPTA or other support personnel as appropriate.
• Assist with P.T. observers, volunteers, and students as requested by the in-charge therapist.
• Assist with training of new P.T. employees.
