Job Summary

Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
• Current or temporary licensure in West Virginia or applicable state; permanent licensure within 90 days of employment.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year experience in a relevant setting (acute care, outpatient, SNF, home health).

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Provides coordinated patient care including assessment, expected outcomes, rehabilitation interventions, and evaluation within an interdisciplinary team. Applies research-based techniques to diagnose, prevent, or treat movement and functional limitations. Oversees supervision of PTAs, rehab techs, students, and volunteers. Participates in departmental goals. Supervises students and volunteers. Submits accurate billing via the EMR system.

Physical Requirements

Must meet physical demands, including lifting up to 35 pounds manually, with assistance for heavier loads, and perform tasks requiring stamina, strength, and visual acuity. Reasonable accommodations available.

Working Environment

Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, chemicals, and physical demands like lifting and standing.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate tasks effectively to support patient care.
