Job summary

Sunny Days, Inc. in California is hiring licensed Physical Therapists to provide early intervention services for infants, toddlers and families in home and community settings. You will conduct developmental assessments and deliver PT through the Parent Coaching Model, aligning with IFSP goals.

Flexibility is offered with scheduling, mileage paid between sessions, and eligibility for medical/dental/vision benefits. Prior pediatric EI experience and bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Pediatric EI experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills required.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide PT services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and collaborate with families to meet developmental goals.
• Build caregivers’ confidence and skills to generalize progress across environments.
• Provide services in homes, daycares, and community settings as appropriate.
• Write progress reports and conduct re-assessments (bi-annual).

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
