Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in early intervention for children from birth to three, offering occupational, physical, and speech therapies along with child development services.

We are expanding our Occupational Therapy team in California, providing home-based, family-centered supports in diverse community settings with optional virtual services. Positions emphasize working with infants and toddlers and their families under IFSP guidance, with opportunities for flexible schedules

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy license is required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills required.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform developmental assessments and provide OT/PT/SLP services using Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow IFSPs and help families develop strategies to meet developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and skill transfer.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment (home, daycare, community) with virtual options available.
• Conduct re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multi-disciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

We are looking to grow our team of Occupational Therapists in your area!

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy/occupational therapy/speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
