We're currently partnered with a growing Home Health organization looking for PTs in the Monterey County area.

This role is pay-per-visit which directly allows for higher earning potential and more autonomy. This role offers PPV rates $95-105/visit (plus mileage) with an admin rate of $70/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provides physical therapy services to patients according to a written physician's plan of care and as defined in the State Physical Therapy Practice Act.
  2. Prepares and submits clinical and progress summaries based on the attainment of goals.
  3. Provides physical therapy consultation to home families/caregivers when indicated.
  4. Provides inservice education programs for nursing organization personnel as needed.
  5. Participates in the peer consultation process.
  6. Supervises physical therapy assistants according to organization policy and state regulations.
  7. Assesses and evaluates therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status, and participates in the development of the total plan of care.
  8. Directing physical therapy treatment.
  9. Instructing patients and families/caregivers in the use and care of therapeutic appliances.
  10. Determining priority needs for physical therapy.
  11. Reporting to physician the patient's reaction to treatment or changes in condition.
  12. Initiates physical therapy program and instructs other personnel and/or family/caregiver members in certain phases of physical therapy with which they may work with a patient.
  13. May train patients in the use of prosthetic devices.
  14. Identifies patient and family/caregiver needs for other home health services and refers as necessary.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Possesses a degree from a baccalaureate or master's program in physical therapy approved by an accredited organization.
  2. Licensed to practice as physical therapist by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
  3. Two years of appropriate experience as a physical therapist. Community/home health experience is preferred.
  4. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
  5. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
  6. Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization's requirements.
