Job summary

AnthroMed Education is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide school-based PT across multiple campuses in Illinois. The role involves ensuring access and participation for students with mobility needs, conducting therapy within general and special education settings, and delivering direct services aligned to IEP goals.

The ideal candidate holds an IDFPR PT license, ISBE PEL, and has experience in schools or pediatrics.

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) through ISBE required.
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based physical therapy services across multiple campuses.

• Attend IEP meetings and contribute PT recommendations.
• Maintain timely documentation and monitor progress toward goals.

Job description

Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 8:30 AM-3:40 PM

Daily schedule may vary based on student service times

Weekly Hours: 35 hours per week

Setting: Onsite

School Year Dates: August 10, 2026 - May 28, 2027

Caseload & Responsibilities

Manage an anticipated caseload of approximately 45 students

Provide school-based physical therapy services across multiple campuses

Support students with a variety of physical, motor, and mobility needs in both general and special education settings

Deliver direct therapy services designed to improve access, functional mobility, and participation in educational activities

Provide consultation to teachers, related service providers, and school staff

Develop accommodations and strategies that promote student independence and accessibility throughout the school environment

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations related to physical therapy services

Maintain timely documentation and monitor student progress toward individualized goals

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, student-centered care

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a Physical Therapist who enjoys variety in their day and values collaboration. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple campuses and supporting students with a broad range of physical and mobility needs, from those receiving consultative services to students requiring more intensive intervention.

Qualifications

Active Illinois IDFPR Physical Therapy license required

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) through ISBE required

Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Ability to travel between multiple school sites during the workday

Competitive salary ranging from $60,000-$80,000
