MercyOne Medical Group Newton Outpatient Clinic is seeking a Physical Therapist for a full-time day shift (40 hours weekly). You will provide physical therapy services as directed by medical staff, assess patients, and design plans to restore function and relieve pain.
Essential duties include obtaining information from physicians, planning and implementing therapy programs, applying tests, and guiding manual therapy, exercises, gait, and functional training. Iowa license and BLS required.

A MercyOne Physical Therapist is responsible for providing physical therapy services as determined by medical direction, therapist judgment, patient needs and desires, and available facilities. Organize and conduct physical therapy programs in the hospital and community to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury. Help patient reach his/her optimal physical abilities and learn to live within the limits of his/her capabilities.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited physical therapist educational program.
EXPERIENCE: None required if education and licensure are met.
LICENSURE: Maintain license to practice physical therapy in the state of Iowa. Maintain current BLS certification.
