Job summary

Luxury Senior Living Communities in Coral Gables, FL, is seeking a Physical Therapist to join the Palace at Home program in Miami. The PT will deliver care as prescribed, assess patient progress, and support physicians with functional evaluations in a residential care setting.

The ideal candidate holds an active Florida PT license and can communicate effectively in English; Spanish is a plus. Weekend, holiday, and emergency coverage may be required as part of a responsive care team.

Qualifications

• Must possess active State of Florida Physical Therapy license.
• Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy.
• Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services as prescribed by a physician.
• Observe and record activities and findings in the clinical record and report the resident’s reaction to the treatment and any changes in the patient’s condition.
• Provide instructions to the resident, family members and other health team personnel in care and use of physical therapy devices.
• Determine proper procedures and methods and evaluate results.
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies for the assigned area of the department/facility.
• Practice Physical Therapy consistent with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

To provide physical therapy as prescribed by a physician, which can be safely provided in the facility and assisting the physician in evaluating patients by applying diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional abilities test.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services as prescribed by a physician.
• Observe and record activities and findings in the clinical record and report the resident’s reaction to the treatment and any changes in the patient’s condition.
• Provide instructions to the resident, family members and other health team personnel in care and use of physical therapy devices.
• Determine proper procedures and methods and evaluate results.
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies for the assigned area of the department/facility.
• Practice Physical Therapy consistent with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
