Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services in Suffolk, NY seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to serve children birth to 21 in homes, clinics and community settings. You will deliver pediatric therapy and evaluations, educate families, and document progress to support goal attainment.

The role offers a flexible schedule with support from a clinical team and supervisors. NYS licensure is required; 1–2 years working with children is preferred, with bilingual skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for working with children and families.
• NYS Licensed Physical Therapist in good standing.
• 1–2 years of experience with children birth–5 preferred.
• Self-motivated, team player with patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth–21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies for carry-over.
• Work in client homes, daycare/centers, preschools, clinics and community settings.
• Follow the therapy plan, plan ongoing treatment and address goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations.

Job Responsibilities for a Physical Therapist:

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth – 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements for a Physical Therapist:

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• NYS Licensed Physical Therapist
• 1-2 years of experience working with children birth–5 is preferred but not necessary.
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: Evaluations $130.00 - $250.00/ hourly$60.00-$70.00
Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during thePhysical TherapistJob interview process.
