Job summary

Achieve Beyond is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Suffolk, NY team. You will provide pediatric therapy and evaluations in homes, clinics, and community settings, delivering family education and coordinating with supervising clinicians to ensure high-quality care.

The role offers a flexible schedule, travel to assigned cases, and opportunities to impact children and families across the metro New York area.

Qualifications

• Must be NY licensed for practice.
• 1–2 years of experience with children birth–5 preferred.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
• Ability to travel to assigned cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children birth to 21 in natural settings.
• Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate involvement and carry-over.
• Work in client homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, and community settings.
• Follow the therapy plan, plan ongoing treatment, and document progress.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Maintain child records in compliance with HIPAA and regulations.

Job Responsibilities For a Physical Therapist

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements For a Physical Therapist

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• NYS Licensed Physical Therapist
• 1-2 years of experience working with children birth5 is preferred but not necessary.
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: Evaluations $130.00 - $250.00/ hourly$60.00-$70.00

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Physical TherapistJob interview process.
