Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services in Suffolk, NY seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to deliver pediatric therapies in homes, clinics and community settings. You will evaluate and treat children from birth to 21, educate families, and document progress with a focus on HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.

Starting rate details and a flexible schedule are provided, along with strong clinical supervision, training on our paperless system, and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for working with children and families.
• Self-motivated and a team player who can maintain professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy and/or evaluations to children birth–21 years in natural settings.
• Educate families on intervention strategies to support carry‑over.
• Work in homes, daycare/preschool centers, clinics and community settings.
• Follow and document progress on the established therapy plan and goals.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal rules.

Job Responsibilities for a Physical Therapist:

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth – 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry‑over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements for a Physical Therapist:

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• NYS Licensed Physical Therapist
• 1-2 years of experience working with children birth–5 is preferred but not necessary.
• Must be self‑motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: Evaluations $130.00 - $250.00/ hourly$60.00-$70.00
Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during thePhysical TherapistJob interview process.
