Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks a Physical Therapist to work with infants and toddlers in homes and community settings, delivering Early Intervention services.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license is required.
• Pediatric experience with Early Intervention preferred.

• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide PT services using a family-centered approach.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and collaborate with families to meet developmental goals.
• Use Parent Coaching Model to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment, at home or in community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
