Job summary

Principle LTC in North Carolina seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to assess, plan, and deliver skilled therapy for residents in a 24/7 skilled nursing facility. You will supervise PTAs, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and advocate for residents to enhance quality of life and independence.

The role emphasizes clear communication with families and staff, accurate clinical documentation, and delivering compassionate care that aligns with our values of dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Valid physical therapy / PT license.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy / PT program.
• Successful criminal background check.
• Subject to pre-employment drug testing.
• Long-term care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide certified physical therapy assistants (PTAs).
• Collaborate with other health care professionals in assessment and planning.
• Be a resident advocate with the resident at the center of care.
• Ensure excellent communication among residents, families, and staff.
• Provide clinical documentation.
• Create positive resident outcomes.

JOB SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist / PT position is to be responsible for providing skilled physical therapy. The physical therapist will assess, plan, and implement personalized physical therapy interventions to enhance residents' quality of life and functional independence.

Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Supervise and guide certified physical therapy assistants (PTAs)
• Collaborate with other health care professionals in the assessment, planning, and safe implementation of all therapy.
