Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Physical Therapist for the outpatient clinic at East Hills. You will oversee care for patients with PTAs and therapy techs, and collaborate with the team to maintain high standards of rehabilitation practice.

The role requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, current PA license, and BLS/CPR. Inpatient rehab experience is preferred, with growth opportunities within Lifepoint Rehabilitation network.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in physical therapy.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
• Inpatient rehab experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR Card.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for care of patients treated by PTAs and therapy techs; may orient staff and students and cover supervisor duties in their absence.
• Assesses patients' needs and initiates appropriate physical therapy interventions; collaborates with the care team to maintain standards.
• Observes and evaluates treatment effects and progress toward goals; communicates changes to the physician as needed.
• Performs patient assessments and periodic reassessments; conducts timely QI scoring as per policy.

Physical Therapist (PT) - Full-Time

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center has 537 inpatient, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and transitional care beds.

This position is for the outpatient clinic located at the East Hills.

How You\'ll Contribute

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs. May be assigned to orient staff and students and assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.


• Assesses patients\' needs; identifies and initiates appropriate physical therapy interventions; works cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.


• Observes and evaluates treatment affect, accomplishment of short and long term goals. Recommends change to physician, if needed.


• Performs an appropriate assessment on each patient and performs reassessments, as per policy. Performs accurate and timely QI scoring. The population is adult and geriatric patients requiring an adult medical rehabilitation program and services.


• Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function of participation in rehabilitation; makes appropriate interventions to reduce pain; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
