Job summary

Action Physical Therapy in the greater Houston area seeks a forward‑thinking Part‑Time Physical Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic team. You will work with experienced clinicians in a collaborative setting to improve mobility, strength, and function for diverse patients.

As a DPT with current license and BLS/CPR, you will assess, design, and implement treatment plans while educating patients and families. Outpatient experience is preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• DPT from an accredited program.

• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Document care, progress, and outcomes in electronic health records and billing records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team for coordinated care and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs; assist with discharge planning.
• Maintain compliance with regulations, policies, and safety standards.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and students; provide mentorship.
• Participate in continuing education and stay current with techniques.

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care and optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and develop appropriate discharge planning recommendations
• Maintain compliance with all regulations, facility policies, and equipment safety standards
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and students while providing mentorship and guidance
• Participate in continuing education and stay current with latest physical therapy techniques and best practices

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
• Current state Physical Therapy license
• Current BLS/CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specialty certifications (e.g., OCS, SCS, NCS)
