Job summary

Quorum Health Corporation is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, assess needs, and develop personalized treatment plans. You will provide therapy services and collaborate with physicians and case managers to optimize patient outcomes.

Supervision of assistants and aides may occur, with emphasis on evidence-based care. The role requires directing and adjusting treatment based on patient progress, and educating families on home programs to support recovery.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• NM PT Licensure is required to practice in New Mexico.
• Current BLS Certification or obtain per policy upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient needs and formulate treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services defined in plans and coordinate with physicians and staff.
• Supervise PT assistants, aides, and trainers where applicable.
• Document goals and progress; adapt plans as needed for recovery.
• Educate patients and families on in-home exercises and recovery expectations.

Physical Therapist

Job Summary:

Evaluating and assessing needs of patients and formulating treatment plans. Provides therapy services defined in treatment plans. Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare staff. May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Job Duties:

• Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons
• Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move about
• Develop an individualized treatment plan
• Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
• Use hands‑on therapy such as massage to ease patients' pain and provide stimulation to promote healing
• Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly
• Advise patients and their families on in‑home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process

Qualifications:
