Job summary

Pittman Physical Therapy is a growing outpatient practice serving the greater Memphis area. We’re seeking a licensed Physical Therapist who is dedicated to helping patients move and feel better and regain activities they love. New grads are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• DPT or equivalent PT degree from an accredited program.
• Current Tennessee PT license or eligible/in process.
• Knowledge of current PT practices and evidence-based treatment.
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to perform and instruct therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Strong documentation and time-management skills.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations based on diagnosis, injury, age, functional goals.
• Develop individualized care plans based on evaluation findings and clinical judgment.
• Provide therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual techniques, patient education.
• Regularly reassess progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients about their condition, treatment plan, and home exercises.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in a timely and compliant manner.
• Coordinate patient care with PTAs, physicians, and the healthcare team.

What You’ll Do

As a Physical Therapist at Pittman, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with your patients while providing individualized, evidence-based care.

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations based on diagnosis, injury, age, functional limitations, and individual goals.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on evaluation findings and clinical judgment.
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual techniques, patient education, and other appropriate treatment methods.
• Regularly reassess patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Clearly educate patients about their condition, treatment plan, home exercises, and goals for recovery.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Coordinate patient care with PTAs, technicians, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team when appropriate.
• Help patients remain engaged and accountable throughout their plan of care.
• Contribute to established clinic goals and performance metrics.
• Bring solutions, ideas, and a team-first mindset when challenges arise
• Help create a professional, positive, friendly, and welcoming environment for every patient who walks through our doors.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or other qualifying Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
• Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license, or eligible/in the process of obtaining licensure.
