Job summary

Physical TheraOak Hill Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing in Ithaca, NY is hiring a Physical Therapist for a full-time, on-site position. The role includes supervising therapy staff, evaluating residents, and creating individualized rehab plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.

Ideal candidates will hold a NY State PT license, be a graduate of an accredited program, and have nursing home experience preferred. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with excellent compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Current New York State PT License.
• Nursing Home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Evaluate residents’ conditions and develop rehab plans.
• Help residents improve mobility and relieve pain with exercises and hands-on therapy.
• Teach residents to use PT equipment and monitor performance.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.

• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants
• Evaluate Residents conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans
• Help Residents improve their mobility
• Relieve Resident's pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching
• Teach Residents how to use physical therapy equipment
• Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance
• Maintain Resident confidence & protects the facility by keeping the information confidential
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
• Contributes to team effort

PT Requirements Include:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
• Current New York State PT License
