Physical Therapist

Florida Spine Associates Boca Raton, Other / Non-US, United States

About this position

Physical Therapist

Now Hiring in Wellington, Delray Beach, and Boca Raton, FL — Multiple Opportunities!

Join the Team at Florida Spine Associates!

Florida Spine Associates is a premier, multidisciplinary spine specialty private practice specializing in world‑class orthopedic spine surgery, interventional pain management, and dedicated physical therapy. With regional clinics spanning South Florida — including Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Wellington, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale — our elite team of board‑certified, fellowship‑trained physicians is dedicated to restoring our patients' quality of life using cutting‑edge, innovative technologies.

Unlike facility and corporate hospital networks, Florida Spine Associates operates on an agile, independent private practice model. We offer deeply personalized, compassionate patient care and clinical autonomy — the time to actually deliver hands‑on treatment, build a relationship with your patients, and see the impact you're making. Here, you are a highly valued member of a tight‑knit medical team, working in a supportive space where your voice is heard, communication is seamless, and your contributions directly shape our standard of excellence. Experience dedicated growth, team collaboration, predictable work schedules, and an atmosphere where you're part of something — not lost in a large hospital system.

As a Physical Therapist, you are responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support healthcare providers in delivering high‑quality patient care. This role requires a combination of medical knowledge, technical skills, and strong interpersonal abilities. We are looking for someone who thrives on patient care and compassion, ensuring the well‑being of patients and providing a positive, supportive environment for patients and staff while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practitioners, front office, and clinical staff. Orthopedic or Pain Medicine experience preferred. An exciting opportunity to join our Wellington, Delray Beach, and Boca Raton teams!

Aquatic Therapy Opportunity — Delray Beach: Our Delray Beach clinic features a state‑of‑the‑art aquatic physical therapy center. Aquatic therapy experience is a plus but not required — we provide training.

A Genuinely Cutting-Edge Opportunity

As a PT here, you're working directly alongside some of the top spine surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and interventional pain physicians in Florida — with real input into surgical and post‑operative care, not just a referral slip. Our therapy department also collaborates closely with physical therapists who perform EMG and nerve conduction studies, giving you access to objective diagnostic data you can use to fine‑tune and modify treatment plans — a level of clinical precision most outpatient PTs never get.

Led by Experience, Built on Teamwork

Our leadership team brings decades of hands‑on clinical and practice experience, and we've built this department the way we'd want to work ourselves: people who genuinely enjoy being around each other, push toward the same goals together, and have each other's backs — from leadership on down.

Core Responsibilities
  • Has a contagious and positive work ethic, inspires others, and models the behaviors of Genuine, Caring, and Friendly.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication that is clear, well‑organized, and shows understanding of patient needs.
  • Uses genuine and positive communication to make each patient feel informed, understood, and special.
  • An effective team member who contributes valuable ideas and feedback and can be counted on to meet commitments.
  • Pursues activities with focus and drive, defines work in terms of success, and can be counted on to complete goals.
  • Adherence to standards of business conduct and compliance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Diagnoses
  • Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations of musculoskeletal and neurological movement dysfunctions.
  • Review complex medical histories, diagnostic imaging reports, and physician referrals.
  • Establish clear, functional, short- and long‑term therapeutic goals.
Treatment Implementation
  • Deliver advanced hands‑on manual therapy, including joint and spinal mobilization.
  • Design progressive, evidence‑based therapeutic exercise protocols.
  • Utilise modalities when clinically indicated.
  • Coordinate directly with referring orthopedic surgeons and pain management physicians within the practice regarding post‑operative restrictions.
  • Incorporate findings from in‑house EMG/nerve conduction studies to inform and adjust treatment planning.
  • Complete timely, legally compliant documentation using our outpatient EMR platform.
  • Supervise and mentor physical therapist assistants (PTAs) and technicians.
  • Instruct patients and families on safe home exercise programs and biomechanical modifications.
  • Educate patients on pain neuroscience, lifestyle modifications, and long‑term injury prevention.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active Florida Physical Therapist license in good standing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years in an outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine clinic (highly motivated new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered). Aquatic therapy a plus for Delray Beach but not required — training provided.
Physical Requirements
  • Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an 8‑to‑10 hour shift.
  • Strength: Capability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds during patient transfers and guarding.
  • Dexterity: High manual dexterity and tactile sensitivity for precise joint mobilizations and manual techniques.
  • Competitive base salary with quarterly performance incentives.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous continuing education (CEU) stipend and dedicated paid time off for courses.
  • 4% match on 401(k) retirement plan after 1st year.
  • Mentorship programs for early‑career therapists.
