Care Medical Group is seeking a dedicated part-time Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary clinic. The PT will evaluate, treat, and prevent musculoskeletal injuries, adhering to APTA ethics and practice standards. Key duties include patient assessments, data synthesis, care planning, and collaborating in weekly multidisciplinary conferences.

Care Medical Group is seeking a dedicated part-time Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary clinic.

Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist evaluates, develops, treats, and prevents chronic conditions, illnesses, and/or musculoskeletal injuries. The therapist must adhere to principles consistent with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

Essential Functions:

• Evaluate patients, synthesize data, establish diagnoses and prognoses, develop a plan of care and goals, conduct re-evaluations, and develop discharge plans.
• Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
• Helps patients in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
• Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Maintains production objectives by noting current treatment trends and monitoring actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives.
• Participate in weekly patient multidisciplinary care conferences.
• Restore, maintain, and promote optimal physical function, wellness, and fitness.
• Understand and follow all clinic policies and procedures.
• Assume all responsibilities of a supervising physical therapist to PT assistants and aides.
• Cooperate with referring physicians and patients to determine appropriate treatment.
• Follow the standards of care and guidelines for PT according to WAC Chapter 246-195 and RCW Chapter 18.74.
• Maintain legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations and JACHO standards.
• Maintaining chart organization after and pre-treatment, discharges
• Meeting notes, performing statistical analysis
• Orders, inventories.
• Post-treatment disinfecting table and other gadgets/equipment

Equipment Operated:

Position requires the use of a multi-line phone, computer, fax machine, copier, tablets, barcode scanner, label printer, electronic signature pad, some medical diagnostic and treatment tools, and personal protective gear.

Job Specifications

Required License:

• Current Washington State Physical Therapist License
• Current Basic Life Support Certification

Experience Required:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hand-to-finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and listen attentively. Work requires moderate physical exertion. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Job duties frequently require intense concentration, attention to detail, and the ability to work at a computer.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
