Overview
Agape Physical Therapy, with 15 locations across Maryland and Pennsylvania, is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic team in the Arena Club/Churchville location. Located inside the Arena Club Gym and Fitness center, therapists have access to state-of-the-art gym equipment and year-round pools for patient care.
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000-$95,000. Salary is based on factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus program for eligible qualified physical therapist candidates. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits per the plan.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Review physician referrals and the patient\'s condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment
- Provide direct patient care by established protocols and guidelines
- Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
- Supervise patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
- Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and create a comprehensive program to achieve goals
- Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies
- Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers\' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports
Qualifications
- Excellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask while delivering an exceptional clinic experience
- Passion for physical therapy and patient care
- Graduate from an accredited college with an APTA-approved curriculum
- Master\’s degree or equivalent is a plus
- Previous staff supervisory experience, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic clinic
- Current Maryland license and CPR certification
- Exercise and manual-based skills, McKenzie method, and sports rehab
- Outgoing and energetic personality
- Ability to market the clinic by networking and visiting physician offices
