Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Listing: The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital is in search of a full‑time physical therapist to work in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

The physical therapist must be able to effectively complete comprehensive evaluations, establish treatment plans of care, and provide appropriate physical therapy treatments to patients with a variety of neurological diagnoses and impairments. The focus of physical therapy in outpatient rehabilitation is to maximize each patient’s recovery and level of functional ability, including but not limited to: neuromuscular recovery (through neurorehabilitation) and functional mobility skills improvement (bed mobility, transfers, ambulation, wheelchair mobility, etc.) utilizing assistive devices as needed.

This position also requires effective communication skills to provide continuity of care between therapists and treatment sessions, to educate and train caregivers, and to contribute to an interdisciplinary team approach for each patient’s care.

Qualifications
