Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Inc. is seeking an Acute Physical Therapist PRN to provide comprehensive Physical Therapy services to patients in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient improvement and effectively address documentation standards.
Applicants must hold a relevant degree and current South Carolina licensure. The position includes working one weekend per quarter and offers competitive compensation and various benefits, including generous paid time off and a supportive work environment.
To provide Physical Therapy services (evaluation, treatment plan development, treatment, delegation of treatment, family training, and discharge planning) to patients in a hospital-based inpatient rehab setting in accordance with facility policy, standards, and philosophy.
The Therapist will be expected to meet documentation standards accurately, timely, and appropriately.
Physical Therapists will enjoy almost exclusively 1-on-1 treatments in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere where the primary focus is on patient improvement. They will work closely with other staff including Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses, Techs, and Physicians, toward seeing patients return home (which over 90% of them do).
Degree from an accredited program of Physical Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate).
Prefer 1 year experience in an acute/inpatient setting; but not required.
Current SC license and BLS certification.
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessments given by the facility.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Therapist should expect to work at least 1 weekend per quarter, and will be asked to schedule those dates in advance.
Strong interpersonal skills with patients, families, and coworkers.
