Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers is seeking an Acute Physical Therapist PRN for its Hitchcock Inpatient Rehab. This hospital-based role focuses on evaluating and treating patients to facilitate their return to function, ensuring collaboration with various therapists and healthcare professionals to support patient mobility.

The successful candidate will provide individual care, meet strict documentation standards, and must hold a degree in Physical Therapy, a South Carolina license, along with effective communication skills. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current SC license and BLS certification.
• Prefer 1 year experience in an acute/inpatient setting; not required.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide Physical Therapy services including evaluation and treatment plan development.

• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses, Techs, and Physicians.

Overview

Responsibilities Acute Physical Therapist PRN Hitchcock Inpatient Rehab at Aiken Regional Medical Centers is a hospital-based inpatient rehab role focused on evaluating and treating patients to facilitate return to function. The facility provides a range of services and emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration to support patient mobility and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide Physical Therapy services in accordance with facility policy, standards, and philosophy, including evaluation, treatment plan development, treatment, delegation of treatment, family training, and discharge planning.
• Meet documentation standards accurately, timely, and appropriately.
• Deliver 1-on-1 treatments in a supportive and collaborative environment.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses, Techs, and Physicians to support patient progress toward discharge home (the majority returning home).

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited program of Physical Therapy (Bachelor\'s, Master\'s, or Doctorate).
• Prefer 1 year experience in an acute/inpatient setting; not required.
• Current SC license and BLS certification.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessments.
• Effective verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills with patients, families, and coworkers.

Work Expectations

• Expected to work at least 1 weekend per quarter, with dates scheduled in advance.
