Our client is seeking a Physical Security Technology Engineer to lead the engineering, integration, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise physical security technology across a global environment.

This role will serve as a senior technical resource for physical security applications, platforms, integrations, infrastructure, and connected devices. The engineer will work across access control, video management, intrusion detection, visitor management, and related security technologies, while partnering closely with Global Security, IT, Cybersecurity, Identity, Network, Cloud, Database, and Service Management teams.
The ideal candidate brings strong enterprise engineering experience combined with hands‑on knowledge of physical security platforms, system integrations, APIs, automation, databases, infrastructure, and application support.

Security Engineering & Architecture
- Lead technical delivery and lifecycle management of physical security applications, servers, middleware, databases, and supporting infrastructure.
- Review and approve solution architectures, technical designs, system configurations, and implementation approaches.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise IT, cybersecurity, risk, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with enterprise security strategy and architecture standards.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, reference architectures, configuration baselines, and technical documentation.
Implementation, Integration & Automation
- Lead the deployment, configuration, upgrades, and integration of physical security technologies across global locations.
- Provide technical oversight for access control, video management, intrusion detection, visitor management, and connected security devices.
- Design, develop, and support APIs, interfaces, and automated workflows between physical security platforms and enterprise systems.
- Integrate physical security technologies with identity and HR services, network services, databases, IT service management, monitoring, and asset management platforms.
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-enabled, API-driven, and automated security technology solutions that improve scalability, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate implementation activities with internal technology teams, Global Security stakeholders, vendors, and authorized security integrators.
- Validate solutions through structured testing, technical acceptance, and production‑readiness reviews.
Operational Reliability & Support
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point for global physical security applications, integrations, and supporting services.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across application, database, operating system, middleware, and network layers.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Engineer solutions for availability, resilience, recoverability, performance, and supportability.
- Support incident, problem, change, release, and configuration management processes.
- Maintain accurate system inventories, support procedures, architecture artifacts, and operational documentation.
- Monitor developments in physical security, cloud, automation, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve quality, reliability, security, efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
- Lead or contribute to platform modernization, lifecycle remediation, upgrades, and technology migration initiatives.
- Participate in system testing, validation, control assessments, and lifecycle reviews.
- Develop reusable engineering practices, mentor engineers, and promote technical excellence through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Global Security, application, infrastructure, network, database, cloud, cybersecurity, identity, and service management teams.
- Provide technical direction during project planning, design reviews, upgrades, migrations, and operational transitions.
- Translate complex technical topics into clear impacts, risks, options, and recommendations for stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage technical dependencies and coordinate delivery with product vendors, service providers, and authorized security integrators.
- Contribute to special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Minimum of 8 years of related technology engineering experience, including at least 3 years supporting system integrations, automation, software development, scripting, or similar technical solutions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience with enterprise physical security platforms such as Genetec Security Center, Software House C CURE, enterprise video management systems, Envoy Visitor Management, or similar technologies.
- Demonstrated experience engineering and supporting enterprise applications in complex, highly available environments.
