A leading university is seeking a Physical Security Technician to support their Public Safety Department. The Physical Security Technician reports to the Manager, Integrated Security and Information Systems, supporting the technology needs of Boston College’s Department of Public Safety. The role involves on-site support for physical security systems across the university, including IP Video Security Systems, Access Control Systems, and Panic and Intrusion Alarm Systems.
Additionally, the technician assists with Public Safety Technology, which includes MDT In-Vehicle Computers, LTE Trunk Routers, radios, mass notification systems, and Smart Campus technologies like License Plate Recognition, Blue Light Emergency Phones, Dynamic Alarm Mapping, AVL Mapping, and other systems within the Public Safety Communications Centers.
Hiring Range: $33.89/hr to $42.38/hr. Pay rate depends on relevant experience.
