Job summary

People Driven Technology, Inc. in Byron Center, MI, is seeking a Systems Engineer – Physical Security to install, commission, and test access control and video surveillance systems across diverse environments.

You will lead project delivery, collaborate with project management and enterprise architects, and ensure robust security solutions. The role requires a proactive, customer-focused mindset, the ability to interpret plans, configure network devices, and obtain necessary industry

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; degree or equivalent experience accepted.
• Certification in Genetec, Avigilon, or Milestone preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or video surveillance installation.
• Strong customer relationship skills; primary contact for high-touch clients.
• Proactive, mechanically inclined and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and test access control and video surveillance systems.
• Install low-voltage wiring for security systems.
• Configure network appliances and software.
• Commission installed systems and review project plans.
• Collaborate in project meetings with stakeholders.
• Create end-user training and maintain records.
• Obtain and maintain industry certifications and licenses.
• Safely operate company vehicle.
