As part of a globally integrated intelligence function, you will provide strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence support to protect Vanguard’s people, offices, operations, and events across the region. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape a developing capability, refine processes and product lines, and contribute to both regional and global security outcomes within one of the world’s leading investment management firms.

  • Monitor, assess, and report on physical security threats with the potential to impact Vanguard operations, including civil unrest, crime trends, targeted violence, terrorism, and geopolitical or social developments relevant to site security.
  • Produce high-quality, timely intelligence products including threat assessments, executive briefings, site risk updates, risk forecasts, and incident-driven reports. Act as the regional subject matter expert for AMER sites, with a focus on identifying threats and trends that may affect Vanguard’s U.S., Mexico, and Canada operations.
  • Translate complex information into clear, concise, and actionable intelligence tailored to stakeholders to support security operations, site leadership, and executive decision-making.

  • Lead development of the region’s intelligence service offering, including regional product lines, stakeholder engagement routines, requirements management, and reporting cadences.
  • Establish repeatable workflows to support incident monitoring, site-specific threat assessments, as-needed executive protection support, and emerging threat escalation across AMER locations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes with technology, automation, and open-source intelligence methodologies.
People Leadership and Performance Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of analysts, fostering a culture of critical thinking, professionalism, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular performance feedback, and support career development within the intelligence function.
Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience assessing physical security risks across the Americas, including risks relating to targeted violence, terrorism, civil unrest, crime, and site security operations.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including team development, coaching, and performance management.
  • Independent, proactive, and comfortable leading regional intelligence efforts while working across a globally dispersed team and supporting time-sensitive operational requirements.
  • Experience building intelligence programs, developing stakeholder requirements, and establishing internal and external partnerships that improve security decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills with the ability to produce finished intelligence products with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to transform complex information into clear, concise, and actionable intelligence products for senior decision-makers.
  • Experience briefing executive and senior leadership audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
