Job Description
EXANTE360 is seeking a Physical Security Project Manager to support its growing mission‑critical practice and manage complex physical‑security consulting projects from kickoff through construction and closeout. The business continues to receive additional mission‑critical project work and needs additional project‑management and delivery capacity. EXANTE360 recently added another Project Manager and has continued evaluating senior‑level talent, but additional PM capacity remains an ongoing need. This is a hands‑on project‑management and client‑consulting role requiring strong physical‑security technical credibility, client‑facing project ownership, design‑management capability, and construction‑administration experience. The PM must understand physical‑security design well enough to manage and review technical deliverables, challenge assumptions, coordinate designers and multidisciplinary stakeholders, and communicate effectively with clients. The PM is NOT expected to possess the same component‑level design‑production expertise as EXANTE360's dedicated ICT/security Designers.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage physical‑security projects from kickoff through closeout. Own scope, schedule, deliverables, quality, client communication, and project outcomes. Coordinate multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities. Coordinate designers, integrators, contractors, multidisciplinary teams, and project stakeholders. Lead client meetings and project‑status discussions. Identify project risks, scope changes, coordination issues, and delivery challenges. Communicate changes and risks proactively. Maintain accountability for commitments and client deadlines.
- Physical Security Systems: Core systems: Access Control; Video Surveillance / CCTV. Additional systems may include: Intrusion Detection; Biometrics; Perimeter Security Gates / Barrier Systems; Security Communications; Electronic Security Systems; Supporting Low‑Voltage / Security Infrastructure.
- Design Coordination: Manage, coordinate, and review physical‑security design deliverables. Review drawings, specifications, markups, and design packages. Understand Division 27 / Division 28 interfaces relevant to assigned projects. Coordinate technical resources and multidisciplinary design partners. Identify design inconsistencies, coordination issues, and constructability concerns. Support QA/QC of project deliverables. Translate client needs into practical project and technical requirements. Provide technically credible input without serving exclusively as a production designer.
- Construction Administration: Review and respond to RFIs. Review submittals. Support site assessments and field observations. Participate in punch walks. Support acceptance testing and commissioning activities. Resolve field issues and design clarifications. Coordinate design intent with construction and implementation teams. Support project turnover and closeout.
- Client Consulting: Serve as a trusted advisor and extension of the owner. Lead client and stakeholder communication. Ask questions to understand underlying business and technical needs. Advise clients on project risks, options, tradeoffs, and decisions. Manage expectations and resolve issues collaboratively. Balance technical quality, scope, schedule, client expectations, and project outcomes.
Success Profile
Physical‑security technical credibility + meaningful project ownership + client‑facing capability + construction knowledge + design fluency + consulting mindset + willingness to remain hands‑on. The ideal candidate can clearly explain what they personally authored, reviewed, coordinated, managed, approved, and delivered rather than describing only the broader team's responsibilities.
