Job summary

Broadridge Financial Solutions in Newark, NJ is seeking a Physical Security Console Operator to join our dynamic team.

This on-site role runs 2:30 PM–10:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday, with occasional overtime. You will oversee site security, monitor access control, alarms, and CCTV, and report incidents.

Strong communication, basic PC skills (typing, MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint), and a High School diploma are required; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with Security and Facility personnel, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be vigilant, reporting any security issues or incidents.
• Knowledge of filing and phone courtesy is required.
• Ability to use a personal computer including typing and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the physical security of the site in regards to protection of assets and personnel.
• Supervising and controlling personnel access into the facility.
• Monitoring and reporting event alarms on access control and CCTV systems; handling ID/access badge issues; maintaining security logs.
• Responding to, evaluating, and resolving any event alarms at the console monitoring station.
• Conducting roving patrol inspections and notifying appropriate authorities of issues; reporting breaches in security policies.
• Keeping the Security Management Team informed of security matters and performing additional duties as directed.

We are seeking a Physical Security Console Operator to join the dynamic team in our Newark, NJ office location.

The work hours are 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM, Sunday - Thursday. This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the physical security of the site in regards to protection of assets and personnel
• Supervising and controlling personnel access into the facility
• Monitoring and reporting the following: event alarms triggered on the access control system and or Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system, ID/access badge issues, physical security of the site, and the historical log book
• Responding to, evaluating, and resolving any event alarms received at the console monitoring station
• Conducting roving patrol inspections of the Broadridge facilities, both external and internal, and notifying the proper Broadridge authority of any issues found, including procedural breaches in security policies
• Keeping the Security Management Team informed of all security matters and issues as they pertain to the site and performing additional duties as directed
• Must be able to work from 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM Sunday - Thursday with occasional overtime
• Shift is subject to change based on coverage and department needs
• Must be able to travel and perform other related duties and functions as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required

Salary range is $18.00 hourly. There is a 3.5% shift differential. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. Bonus Eligible.
