Job Goal

To deliver effective instruction and services to students, fostering their development of knowledge, skills, and work habits to become successful individuals and citizens.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement lesson plans that meet students' needs and interests in a conducive learning environment.
  2. Guide learning towards curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for lessons and projects.
  3. Create an engaging classroom environment encouraging student participation.
  4. Employ appropriate instructional methods and materials.
  5. Assess student progress regularly and provide feedback.
  6. Identify and address learning difficulties, seeking district support when necessary.
  7. Participate in professional development and school activities.
  8. Maintain classroom order and develop reasonable rules of behavior.
  9. Attend staff meetings and serve on committees.
  10. Ensure safety and proper maintenance of equipment and materials.
  11. Keep accurate records as required by law and policy.
  12. Organize classes to facilitate substitute teaching with minimal disruption.
  13. Utilize community resources when available.
  14. Be available to students and parents outside instructional hours as needed.
  15. Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Physical Demands

Must be able to sit, stand, climb stairs, lift (25-75 lbs), bend, pull, push, walk, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical tasks as required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
