Job Description
Colby Community College is accepting applications for a part-time adjunct instructor to teach Physical Science courses. This may include disciplines such as Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Astronomy, or related areas. Course delivery may include online, in-person at the Colby campus, or Zoom-based instruction for correctional facility students. The college seeks a flexible, student-centered instructor committed to high-quality instruction and serving a rural student population.
Course Delivery Options
- Online asynchronous
- In-person at the Colby campus (flexible scheduling possible)
- Zoom instructions for students located in a Kansas correctional facility
Compensation
$650 per credit hour

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physical Science (e.g., Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Astronomy), or a closely related field, OR
- Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Physical Science or a closely related field.
- Prior teaching experience and experience with remote or Zoom-based instruction are preferred but not required.
