Job summary

Periscope offers independent contractor opportunities for licensed Physical or Occupational Therapists to perform in-home medical necessity assessments nationwide. You will conduct one-time home visits, evaluate patient needs, and provide recommendations to optimize independence.

Flexible scheduling and access to continuing education and mentoring are offered as part of a nationwide consultant network. You will manage documentation online from any device and travel to member homes as required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as Physical or Occupational Therapist.
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance may be purchased at time of offer.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, navigate stairs and varied home environments
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to member homes
• Proficient with technology and online portals for documentation
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills

Job Responsibilities

• Perform one-time comprehensive medical need assessments in an individual's home.
• Provide expert recommendations for equipment, service, and care that empower members to maintain independence
• Complete straightforward documentation through our secure, user-friendly online potable accessible from any device

Qualifications And Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physical or Occupational Therapist (Sorry, No PTAs or COTAs).
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance (may be purchased at the time of job offer).
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, navigate stairs and varied home environments, and perform physical assessments as needed
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to and from member homes
• Proficient with technology: able to navigate online portals, upload documents, and use your preferred device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) for all work tasks
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Home safety assessment background
• Knowledge (Familiarity) of durable medical equipment
• Experience with home modifications
• Work history with diverse medical conditions
