Job summary

Carey Baptist College invites a dedicated Christian Primary Physical Education Teacher to join our team in January 2027. This 0.6 FTE, part-time role focuses on delivering engaging PE programs aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum for students in Years 1-6, at our Forrestdale campus.

Carey Baptist College is seeking a passionate, highly skilled, and adaptable Christian Primary Physical Education Teacher to join our team commencing in January 2027. This is a part-time, 0.6 FTE position.

With knowledge of contemporary co-curricular practices, the Physical Education teacher will inspire a safe, engaging and challenging atmosphere, whilst promoting the College's vision, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching, assessment and reporting of the Western Australian Physical Education Curriculum for students in Years 1-6.
• Developing, managing, evaluating and revising School sporting programs.
• Planning and coordinating all facets of intra-school House competitions and events, including Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country carnivals.
• Managing all facets of inter-school competition for Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country.
• Planning, organising and managing Swimming Lessons as part of the Physical Education program.

About You

• Experience in managing Physical Education programs
• Expert knowledge of sporting programs - intra-school and inter-school
• Ability to motivate staff and students to influence the direction of sporting programs
