We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our team and support the holistic development of students across all grade levels (KG-12th).

Position Overview

The PE Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive physical education program that promotes fitness, health, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate will inspire students to engage in physical activity while integrating Islamic values into the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, develop, and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  2. Promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, and motor skill development through engaging activities.
  3. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  4. Teach students the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect in physical activities.
  5. Organize and supervise sports events, intramural activities, and field days.
  6. Ensure the safety of all students during physical activities, maintaining proper supervision and following safety protocols.
  7. Maintain and organize PE equipment and facilities.
  8. Collaborate with classroom teachers and administrators to align physical education goals with the school’s overall mission.
  9. Monitor and assess student progress in physical education and provide feedback to students and parents.

Qualifications

Education & Certification

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field (preferred).
  2. State teaching certification in Physical Education (preferred).

Experience

  1. Experience teaching PE or coaching in a school setting (preferred).
  2. Familiarity with age-appropriate physical activities for all grade levels.

Skills & Attributes

  1. Strong understanding of physical fitness and wellness concepts.
  2. Ability to create a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for students of all ages.
  3. Excellent organizational and classroom management skills.
  4. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  5. Familiarity with Islamic educational environments or cultural sensitivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working in a culturally diverse school community.
  2. Training in first aid and CPR (preferred but not required).
  3. Ability to lead or coach extracurricular sports programs.
