Position Details

• Job Title: Physical Education/Health Teacher - Elementary or Secondary
• Location: TBD
• Reports To: Building Principal
• Work Schedule/FLSA Status: Per negotiated agreement / Exempt

Salary Information

2024/25: Step 1 with Bachelor's Degree: $50,500; with Master's Degree: $55,550.
2025/26: Step 1 with Bachelor's Degree: $51,200; with Master's Degree: $57,820.
Salary credit may be awarded for applicable experience as per the negotiated agreement.

Position Purpose

Plans, teaches, and facilitates learning for all students, creating a positive environment, maintaining progress records, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet student needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited institution
• Valid NE Teaching Certificate or ability to obtain one with endorsement in Physical Education
• Commitment to student learning and positive interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of best instructional practices
• Professional experience and ethical standards compliance

Terms of Employment

Full-time, exempt, governed by state laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
