Atwell, LLC, a leader in engineering and construction services, seeks a Physical Designer for its Datacenter group in Lakewood, CO. You will draft and model deliverables in collaboration with our engineers to ensure quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.

The role requires 1–4 years of drafting/engineering experience, proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, and the ability to work in a team or independently. We offer strong benefits and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field preferred.
• 1–4 years drafting, design, engineering, or related experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required.
• A strong command of the English language.
• Possesses effective written and oral communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in detailed design of substation and conventional generation as needed.
• Produce physical substation packages including general arrangements, elevations, bill of materials, conduit, grounding, lightning protection, and illumination.
• Select hardware for appropriate applications.
• Work effectively as part of a team or independently with oversight.
• Maintain high ethical and professional standards within the organization.
• Attend conferences, training workshops, seminars, and classes for professional advancement and to maintain quality of work.
• Attend safety training and follow safety rules and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the Position

As a Physical Designer in the Datacenter group, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our engineering teams. Physical Designers are responsible for drafting and modeling in a manner that provides the client with a quality deliverable that is on time and within budget.

Salary Range: $31.00 - $42.00 / hour

The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.

This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, Colorado) candidates.

Must Have

Nice to Have

• Proficiency with and/or knowledge of AutoCAD 3D modeling software a plus
