Job description

Providence St. Luke's Rehabilitation Medical Center invites a BC/BE Physiatrist with an interest in neurorehabilitation to join a well-established outpatient physiatry group affiliated with a regional IRF and PM&R residency training program.

We have a collegial interdisciplinary group of physiatrists and neurologists, including 9 faculty physiatrists and 24 physiatry residents, along with on-site outpatient speech, occupational, and physical therapy services.

The physiatrist in this position will focus on outpatient neuorehabilitation care, including providing continuity of care for patients discharging from our IRF and spasticity management. They will have opportunities for varied outpatient physiatry practice in a non-profit regional referral center. They will also educate future leaders in physiatry and be eligible for clinical faculty appointments.

Responsibilities include:

1. Primarily outpatient clinical practice focused on general neurorehabilitation.
2. Approximately 1 day per week of consult coverage.
3. Options for inpatient-outpatient blended practice available.
4. Developing sub-specialized areas of clinical practice based on interests and community needs, serving patients with diagnoses including stroke, TBI, SCI, complex medical and orthopedic rehabilitation, and neuromuscular conditions such as ALS and muscular dystrophy. Support from subspecialty providers in TBI, SCI, EMG, and neuromuscular medicine will be available.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Experience in spasticity management, including chemodenervation and baclofen pump management.
• Ultrasound experience (MSK/neuromuscular) preferred but not required.
• Ability to teach residents and medical students in clinic or on the consult service.
• Shared weekend inpatient call coverage (6-8 weekends per year). Residents provide 24/7 on-site call coverage, with attending physicians available by phone.
• Eligibility for clinical faculty appointment at WSU Elson S Floyd College of Medicine and University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
• Research opportunities available with WSU, University of Washington, Eastern Washington University, University of Idaho, University of Montana, and Gonzaga University.

Compensation and Benefits:

Annual salary ranges from $259,987 to $362,315, potentially including productivity incentives, call pay, or extra shift incentives. CME benefits are also available.
