Immediate opportunity for BC/BE PM&R Medicine Physician
  1. Full-time W2 position with benefits.
  2. Part-time opportunities available.
  3. Seeking PM&R providers to join a growing physician-owned group at Post Acute Care facilities in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Canon City. This is a full-time position that may include Medical Directorship. We offer a base salary plus bonuses and a full benefits package for full-time providers. Part-time and locum physicians are also considered.

Compensation: $250,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year, bonuses, mileage reimbursement.

Summit Medical Consultants is a rapidly growing physician practice. Founded in 2015, we have approximately 100 employees and continue to expand. Our mission is to provide comprehensive clinical services across inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, long-term care, and assisted/independent living facilities. We coordinate with hospitalists, specialists, therapists, case managers, and psychiatrists to deliver compassionate, coordinated care.

Description

Provides medical oversight and care to assigned patient populations, maintains timely documentation, and participates in medical staff duties. Engages in quality assurance, utilization management, and peer review to ensure high-quality, cost-effective services. Supports practice budgetary goals and collaborates with administration and staff on strategic and operational plans. Work settings include subacute, long-term care, assisted living, and independent living, depending on the specialty and patient population. Reliable transportation is required as multiple facility visits may be necessary. Shares evening, weekend, and holiday call duties as per Employment Agreement.

Essential Functions
  • Meet quality measures in medical care provision and perform related administrative functions, complying with professional standards, medical staff bylaws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain timely, confidential documentation and coding of patient care to ensure compliance with reporting standards and billing practices.
  • Participate in medical staff duties, attend meetings, peer reviews, and evaluations, supporting compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Partner with practice administration and staff to support strategic and operational plans. Build positive relationships with physicians, staff, community, payors, and serve on relevant committees.
  • Follow safety standards, report unsafe equipment, and attend safety education sessions.
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the practice, serving as a role model and maintaining a people-centered, service-oriented approach.
  • Work independently, understand complex situations, make sound judgments, and possess good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Physical stamina is required.
Basic Qualifications

Experience: Preferably in Skilled Nursing/Post-Acute care or Hospitalist settings.

Education: Graduate of an approved medical school with licensure in the practicing state.

Licensure/Certification: Board Eligible or Certified by the appropriate certifying board. Must maintain medical staff membership and privileges at required facilities.
